Hello, Adelaide!

We were ‘lucky draw’-lucky when we went about our wedding preparation – we bought wine from Cold Storage at their International Wine Fair and have won a trip for 2 to Penfolds Winery!
By God’s grace, we managed to get Treasury Wine Estates to arrange for us to head for Penfolds Winery before our honeymoon, and so off we went yesterday πŸ™‚

Good-bye Singapore!

Hello Adelaide!

We eventually flew on Qantas because TWE couldn’t get the Australian visa in time to book Singapore Airlines. 😦 A pity, but it’s all right, we still got to Adelaide! πŸ˜‰

We took the Skylink from the Adelaide Airport to Hotel Grand Chancellor (on Hindley), where we were putting up at for 4 days 3 nights.

It costs AUD13 per person for a one-way ride.

All settled on the mini-bus and very happy to take in the sights and sounds of Adelaide! πŸ˜€

A couple of ‘landmarks’ we got to see as the mini-bus ply the streets:

It was 8am and way too early for check-in.

We were a little hungry and went to grab a breakfast at McDonald’s; the husband checked out brochures and planned the itinerary for the remaining days.

Hello everyone! πŸ˜€

Heading to Rundle Street to check out what they’ve got, it’s their supposed ‘shopping street’!

Woolworths caught our attention.

Grainwaves spotted, a supposedly super yummy chips – we’ll grab a pack to try later in the day or in our stay πŸ˜‰

The ‘Reject’ Shop caught our attention too!

Everything in there was relatively cheap.

Hello, again! πŸ˜›

That’s the University of Adelaide.

We walked around a little more and saw the South Australian Museum.

Yes, you read that right – free entry to the museum and it’s open daily! πŸ˜€

Since we had time to kill, we decided to check the museum out.

We were somehow in time for a free guided tour, and so off we went! πŸ˜‰

That’s our guide, who is volunteer to the museum!

We were very glad to have been at the South Australian Museum!
Definitely a must-see if you’re going to be in Adelaide πŸ˜€

We then headed back to check-in to the hotel.
Here’s our room…

We’ve got a dining table.

A living room with television.

A kitchen for cooking.

With a dressing table too!

Absolutely awed and totally excited, until we realised that our luggage were not in the room as promised by the reception.
A phone-call to clarify later, we were in the wrong room. =.=

Here’s our room…

Nope, no kitchen for cooking.

Definitely in the correct room because we have our luggage!

Feeling tired, we took a nap and then headed out for dinner.

He’s having beer.

I’m having cider!

Our food…

We took a walk home after dinner.

7.45pm and it was still so bright!

Christmas is less than a month away!! πŸ˜€

All ritey, time to sleep and get ready for our visit to Penfolds Winery tomorrow!
