Costa Soleil by CCM

Campus Christian Movement Brisbane (CCM) organised Costa Soleil, a Sunshine Coast Trip as part of orientation for Semester 2.
What better way to start the semester than with our spiritual family in Brisbane? πŸ˜‰

For $15, inclusive of a 2-hour long bus ride, we arrived at Eumundi Markets, the first segment of Costa Soleil.

Home-made Ginger Beer caught D’s eye πŸ˜‰

This stall of Tibetan Momos caught Shevonne’s and Audrey’s eyes:

Momos are very popular Tibetan food. They are made of fresh cabbage, carrot, bean noodles, organic tofu, onion, and marinated with sea salt, herbs and spices. These flavoursome ingredients are wrapped in home made wheat flour pastry. You can have them either fried, steamed or combination of both. Momos are served with sweet chilli sauce, soya sauce and slices of cucumber. Try something different!

D with Shevonne and Audrey and the suuuuuuuuuper huge pork bun…

Shevonne, Abby and D with the German sausage bun…

“Don’t worry, be happy!” πŸ˜‰

Darien’s queuing to buy Satay Chicken Rice…

There was a didgeridoo-musician there too.

Thank God for this bunch of friends from UQ3 πŸ˜€
From left – Audrey, Benjamin, Adriel, Shevonne, Abby, Darien and D…

These churros are AWESOME – the best we’ve had, really!!
(If you’re gonna be at Eumundi Market, these churros are from a stall that’s right inside (we’re assuming the stalls aren’t shifted around); or at least look out for the churros stall that freshly make theirs – we had bought a pack at the entry to the markets and they tasted really bad 😐 )

The lime juice was pretty tasty too πŸ™‚

Darien trying to be funny, as usual… πŸ˜›

We then headed to Maroochydore beach, the second segment of Costa Soleil.

Glad we’ve got each other in Aussie!! πŸ˜€

Hand-in-hand, we’ll go through life together, living our marriage vows with Christ at the centre of our marriage, “…to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to change as we both change in order to keep our marriage alive and exciting. I promise to build a home with you that is respectful and honourable for each other, where Christ is glorified. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. And finally, I promise to love you, in good times and in bad, with all I have to give, according to God’s holy ordinance; and thereto I give you my love.

The sky is somehow prettier here – is it a different blue or does it have fluffier clouds? πŸ˜›

A lone kite flies in the sky…

Before we left Maroochydore beach, we took a (spiritual) family photo:

Really thankful we’ve got this spiritual family here for us and with us when we’re away from home! πŸ˜€
