Early this morning, we headed to Compass Point so that D could get his haircut.
However, upon arrival at 10am, we realised that the salon was still closed; we’re obviously too used to life in Australia where shops open early and close early!
SO, we headed to Kopitiam for breakfast:
Having eaten the healthier oats for breakfast the past months, it’s time to indulge in unhealthy Singapore food like carrot cake!!! 😀
Cost: SGD 11.90 (= AUD 10) for 2 meals with drinks – how can we not love eating out in Singapore??? 😉
We then headed home to wash up before heading out to Sim Lim Square to get D’s phone screen repaired.
It looked like a storm was fast approaching:
Miss the Singapore-downpour 😛

After high-tea, we rushed back to Atomware to collect D’s phone.
When D was back at Atomware, he was shown how poorly the repair was done in Australia – the glass was pasted to the LCD screen using double-sided tape, creating a vacuum between the glass and the LCD screen, hence affecting the sensitivity of the touch screen.

We then rushed back to J’s place for dinner with her family and friends:
Mummy Tay prepared a spread for steamboat while Grandma Teo cooked yummy curry, 五香 (wǔ xiāng)/ Ngoh Hiang (Fried Chinese Meat Roll in Beancurd Skin) and prawn fried in salted egg yolk because we have missed her cooking.
Boxes of love from Uncle Derrik and Aunt Santi:
Super finger-licking good durian!! (^̮^)
Gareth bought us snowskin mooncakes too:
Truffle & #chocolate ganache, baileys, mango and rum & raisin chocolate truffle.
We’re truly blessed to have Guang Rong, Yen, Jan, Jie Ling, Ben, Gareth and Pek make time to meet us 😀
We chilled out for a bit then headed out for supper at Swee Choon.
J had supper with Jan, Yen, Pek and Gar before joining D who was with his primary school pals – Siang Yew, Derek, Yi Liang, Ting Yun and Francis:
Siang Yew happened to be in Singapore on a business trip and so we could meet up as well. 🙂

It’s been a mad busy, long day BUT it’s been a really great day catching up with all our family and friends 🙂
Time to sleep and be well-rested for Hong Rui and Hui Lin’s wedding tomorrow, the very reason why we’re back in Singapore now 😀
