Obvious from the title, we’re back at Moo Moo Brisbane for dinner.
Instead of dining at the restaurant-restaurant, we dined at…
We were given the choice to be seated at the bar or get comfy on the couch…
We chose the couch – it’s absolutely lovely to just ‘laze’ on the couch because the temperature in Brisbane just suddenly plummeted and it’s cold! Brrrr!
The couches were filled for the night and the bar was quite crowded.
We ordered a schooner of beer each, a Pure Blonde ($7) and a Bohemian Pilsner ($8):
Digression: If not for what we found from Google, we would not be able to reconcile why we seem to have gotten a “larger” schooner at Moo Bar but a “smaller” schooner at FaB – apparently the volume of a schooner varies in Oz!
While waiting for our food to be served, we took a selfie! 😛
J’s all warm and cosy in her coat and the patch-cushion:
D is obviously not a cushion-person…
While we chatted about how we would like the interior design for our future home to be, we watched how drinks were served:
Dry aged Wagyu Hamburger with smoked garlic remoulade, cornichons + onion rings ($26 each):
The rockets and tomato slices went well with the burger, it was fresh and crunchy to eat. The Wagyu was succulent, tender and tasty.
While we were eating, the staff came by a couple of times to check if we were doing all right – we definitely love their service here! 😉 (We did take a while to eat because we were discussing some stuff about ‘family’ – upbringing of children, motivating/disciplining children, etc.)
Since the Hot fudge Sundae ‘Moo Moo’ style – rich chocolate brownie topped w. vanilla bean ice cream, lashed w. hot fudge + finished w. house made crunchy honeycomb which we tried for dessert on our first visit was so deliciously savoury, we could not help but order it! 😀
We love that the brownie is in fact a molten chocolate cake – baked and crisp on the outside but chocolatey-melt on the inside. Of course, the crunchy honeycomb gives it an extra oopmh and the vanilla ice-cream really compliments the brownie. (Then again, how can anyone have brownies without vanilla ice-cream??).
Before we left, we checked out their wide array of premium wine.
We had a wild thought to have such a “treasure chest” at home in future… 😛
On the left of the walkway to the restaurant is a fridge of aged beef.
The kitchen’s right at the walkway between the restaurant and Moo Bar; can you spot mini-Angus?
Our third time at Moo Moo and it has not failed us. 🙂
If you’re looking for a restaurant with quality steak, lovely ambience and great service, Moo Moo is the place to go! 😉
