Pork Chop with (J’s randomly concocted special) Wine Sauce

Today, I woke up with a craving for pork chop and wanted to cook, so I surfed the net for some inspirations and then proceeded to whip up my own pork chop. 😛

• 4 bone-in pork loin chops
• 1 handful of mushroom (sliced)
• 1/2 carrot (sliced)
• 1 whole onion (sliced)
• 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
• 1/2 cup dry white wine
• 1 tablespoon canola oil

• 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
• 5 tablespoons light soy sauce

1. Mix ingredients for marinade in a bowl and leave pork chops in marinade for 1 hour (or as long as you like).
2. Heat canola oil in pan, lay pork chops on pan and pour over marinade. Cook for 20 minutes (or until blood stops oozing from bone).
3. Remove pork chops from pan.
4. Add mushrooms, carrot, onion and garlic into frying pan and cook until onion caramelizes. (Takes about 15 minutes)
5. Add white wine and simmer for another 5 minutes.
6. Return pork chops to pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
7. Serve on plate and tuck in to sweet, savoury pork chop! 😉

P.S. D was quite surprised by how my randomly concocted sauce turned out, as usual – because I usually do random concoctions! 😉
