2014 Family Holiday Day 4: Tea with Jillian

Since Daniel would be done with exams today, and Jillian, the lady who I’m PA to, was free today, I planned for some good food craving satisfying done for the hubby as well as a meet-up with my lady boss.

We started the day with a visit to Mount Coot-tha:

I’m really so thankful that they are here… 😀

It is indeed quite lovely here… 🙂

A “Yes I Do” car 😉

Next, we headed to our place to wait for Daniel to return home.

While waiting, because my family felt bad not bringing any gifts for Jillian and her children, we decided to bring muah-chee over.

Mummy Tay and Uncle Derrik made the peanut-sugar mixture:

Cheryl worked on the glutinous rice flour mix:

Grandpa Teo coated the cooked glutinous rice flour in peanut-sugar mix while the hubby helped with washing up:

We then headed to Tan Thanh in Inala for a late lunch of Pho:

Tan Thanh is our favourite place to go to for Vietnamese food because they serve food quickly, their food is yummy and cheap and there is a huge variety to choose from! 🙂 (If you’re having a durian craving, Tan Thanh is the place to go to! 😉 )

After afternoon tea, we headed to Jillian’s and despite language barriers (Grandpa Teo doesn’t speak English very well though he understands a little and Mummy Tay is shy to speak though she understands), we had a lovely time chit-chatting!
Jillian hosted us with orange cake and tea:

They are really such a lovely family and I am indeed blessed to be working for such an amazing lady. 🙂

Daniel has been craving Indonesian cuisine for a while now, so we decided to head to Makanan Indonesia for dinner.
We ordered our food wrongly – ordering chicken ala carte instead of meal and couldn’t “upgrade” our orders.

It’s really a pity they aren’t flexible enough to upgrade our order but it’s our fault for placing the wrong orders! 😦

Nope, we are not gonna be missing out on yummy gelato though it’s cold! 😛
